Why choose a guided tour in East Africa?

Here are 7 great reasons to opt for a guided trip to Kenya or Tanzania:

  1. Controlled budget: East Africa is a relatively expensive destination. Traveling in a group allows you to benefit from shared costs, with most expenses included in the tour price.
  2. Well-oiled logistics: airport welcome, transfers, accommodations, park entrance fees… Everything is organized so you can simply enjoy your vacation.
  3. Local, English-speaking expertise: your driver-guide knows the terrain perfectly, and understands your expectations. As a destination specialist agency, we carefully select camps and lodges offering the best value for money.
  4. Friendly atmosphere: group sizes are deliberately kept small to ensure a pleasant and convivial experience.
  5. Safety and comfort: 4x4 vehicles, 24/7 assistance, and professional handling of any unexpected situations.
  6. Easy booking: if you want to decide quickly, booking an organized safari with a guide couldn’t be simpler. In just a few clicks, you’re ready to go—only your international flight remains to be booked.
  7. Guaranteed departures: all our guided tours are guaranteed to depart from just 2 participants.

We are delighted with this stay and the overall experience. In terms of change of scenery, discoveries, and encounters, it was incredibly fulfilling! The Tanzania/Zanzibar combination felt perfectly balanced and complementary. The safaris were absolutely breathtaking. Ending with the crater, given the richness of wildlife and the uniqueness of the site, was like a grand finale.
The hotels and lodges were very pleasant and the staff welcoming. Transfers, organization, drivers—nothing to complain about. Our first guide was determined to show us as many animals as possible and spared no effort to track them down. In Zanzibar, your local contact was attentive and proactive. The guided tour of Stone Town was very interesting, even though we had already explored a bit on our own the day before. So many memories, over 2,000 photos to sort through, wooden sculptures, pepper and coffee… Thank you for your advice and this efficient service.

Organized tour or tailor-made trip? How to choose

In both Kenya and Tanzania, traveling with a driver-guide is highly recommended for safety and comfort. Navigating and driving on East African roads can be challenging.

Is your group made up of at least 4 or 5 people? Privatizing a vehicle and opting for a tailor-made trip may be more cost-effective, especially for a family trip to Africa. The price difference might well fit your budget, while giving you full flexibility in terms of pace, itinerary, and activities.

Our trip went very smoothly and we were extremely satisfied with the services provided. We particularly appreciated our guide and the way activities were organized. Our lodge in the Masai Mara was excellent and offered the richest safari experience. Our hotel near Mombasa was flawless, and I truly enjoyed scuba diving from the beach. Overall, the trip was a great success and we loved Kenya.
