The 2 days in Graskop allowed us to visit everything in the surrounding area, it was great. We really liked the Blyde River Canyon, and the lodge was really great, in the middle of nature with zebras, peacocks and other exotic animals with a unique atmosphere. For my son's birthday we had several cakes and parties in at least four different lodges. It was very fun, he will keep very fond memories of it. He received his gifts during the private safari aperitif. Our favorite was Mjejane, a magnificent place. The lodge is superb, the location magnificent, the staff very kind, and the two safaris were TOP! Then the road to the ocean: stop at Piet Retief. Apart from the church, we did not find any other points of interest in this village. On the other hand, the “Dusk to Dawn” farm was a real discovery. We thought it was just a stopover to cut the road to the sea, but we discovered the history of this family of German origin and their giant farm. We walked around the farm and chatted with Gudrun, the manager, who introduced us to the history of this very charming farm. At first, we had two rooms, then she offered us to go to the big house which was super pretty. In Saint Lucia, we had the safari which I think was the most beautiful of the stay in the iSimangaliso park. Our guide, “Zippo”, was really great, he taught us lots of things about nature and animals. We had a dream day and saw lots of animals. At noon, he prepared a BBQ for us during our first swim in the Indian Ocean at Cape Vidal, it was great, thanks to Zippo! On the third day in Saint Lucia, we booked a boat trip to see the whales. There were a lot of them, it was a unique experience, really to offer to your customers. Then the last 2 days in Ballito were really GREAT for resting. We loved the hotel, with lots of charm and the very beautiful rooms with a view of the ocean, really TOP to finish. We swam several times and took beautiful walks. Very good cuisine. Last day in Johannesburg: everything was on time! At the airport, we found Victor, our guide. He showed us around the city and told us the history of the country. Victor was really great, very endearing, thanks to him, we were able to get to know this city in “express” mode and honestly, we couldn’t leave South Africa without this visit! Soweto touched us a lot, the visit to a favela, the contact with the locals made us discover a reality still hidden for us. The day went very well, it was very rich in meetings and history. I'm happy that my children were able to see this side of the country too, and ultimately, it was good that this was at the end of the trip. Thank you again for your organization, we will keep in our hearts the colors, the sunsets, the nature and the encounters we have had in this country. I wish you good luck, Kind regards, Annamaria & Edward
